Cuba Vistas; Links

1. Vistas de Cuba: by cities and towns (click here)
2. Topografia de la plataforma submarina de Cuba: Satellite; shows
Cuba with the second deepest point in America and third in the world.
"Barlett's Fault" is at the foot of the Sierra Maestra mountain region
(south coast of Cuba) where the continental shelf drops to a depth of
7,680 meters (25,197 feet) before it rises again to form the Nicaragua
Rise. The crest of the Nicaragua Rise forms the Republic of Jamaica
where it goes through another depression called the Cayman Fault and
continues to form the rest of Central America as part of several
interconnected continental plates.
Deepest point at 36,200 ft is the Mariana Trench, east of the
Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean, and second a depth
of 8,605 meters (28,232 feet) occurs in the Puerto Rico Trench which
runs between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea just
north of Puerto Rico. (click here)
